A fabric roof to accompany a classic Miami Beach dining experience.

The Faena Hotel, formerly the Saxony Hotel, marks the debut of the Faena Arts District in Miami Beach. Argentine developer Alan Faena partnered with award-winning film director Baz Luhrmann to design the hotel’s interiors and noted chef Francis Mallman to create a superior dining experience. The completely remodeled Faena Hotel boasts 169 plush rooms, three restaurants, two bars, an intimate 150-seat cabaret-style theater and and impressive 22,000 square-foot spa.

Veranda, the poolside restaurant at the Faena Hotel, features a retractable fabric roof system by Hoover Architectural. The fabric roof  while complements the poolside area and adds architectural appeal to the outdoor eating space. The fabric roof also adds function by providing shade and protection from inclement weather. The retractable roof system is made up of several units which allows some some sections to open while the others remain closed.
